| Abstract: |
There are eight Primates species inhabiting the karst mountains of Guangki. They are Slow loris (Nycticebus coucang), Rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) Bear monkey (Macaca assamensis), Thibetan monkey (Macaca thibeana), Stump-tailed monkey (Macaca arctoides), Black Langur (Phesbytis francoisi). White-headed Langur (Presbytis lcucocephalus), Black gibbons.(Hylobates concolor).Their distribution and population were introduced. The special habitat and ecological condition resulted in some sped adaptability of the monkeys living in the karst mountains.
The conservation of primates in karst mountains,of Guangxi is developing.Eight reserves have been set up, but there is a urgent need to improve the management of reseves. |
