First the third-order KdV equation is transformed into ordinary differential equation and then the parametric equations which satisfy the original equation are obtained by generalizing Riccati mapping method.The parametric equations were further solved by mathematical software Mathematica to obtain explicit solitary wave and periodic wave solutions. |
