北部湾近岸海域海洋环境中铀钍放射性水平与生物效应评价

摘要:
北部湾作为中国西南地区最便捷的出海港湾,拥有极为丰富的渔业资源,其海洋辐射环境安全直接关系到区域经济发展和民生保障。为对北部湾海域进行放射性水平评估,本研究采用微量铀分析仪、紫外可见分光光度计和高纯锗γ能谱仪,分析北部湾近岸海域海水中铀(U)、钍(Th)的含量和表层沉积物中铀、钍的活度浓度,揭示该区域铀、钍含量水平及空间分布特征,并评估海洋放射性环境质量和海洋放射性环境效应。结果表明,北部湾近岸海域海水中铀、钍的平均含量分别为2.66、0.255 μg/L,表层沉积物中铀-238(238U)、钍-232(232Th)的平均活度浓度分别为41.6、39.7 Bq/kg,海水中铀、钍含量水平与南海海域相当,表层沉积物中铀、钍活度浓度水平与白龙半岛临近海域相当,均处于本底水平。北部湾近岸海域海水和表层沉积物中铀、钍对海洋生物基本无影响。铀对底栖生物的潜在风险较高,而钍主要通过水体悬浮颗粒和食物链作用于浮游生物和游泳生物。本研究可为北部湾近岸海域海洋环境放射性水平的研究提供关键基础数据,也为北部湾海域海洋辐射环境安全监管提供数据支撑和科学依据。

Radioactive Level and Biological Effect Evaluation of Uranium and Thorium in the Coastal Environment of the Beibu Gulf

Abstract:
As the most convenient port in southwestern China,Beibu Gulf has abundant fishery resources,and its environment security is directly related to regional economic development and people's livelihood security.In order to evaluate the radioactivity level in the Beibu Gulf,in this study,a trace uranium analyzer,an ultraviolet spectrophotometer,and a high-purity germarium γ spectrometer were used to analyze the content of uranium (U) and thorium (Th) in seawater and the activity concentrations of uranium and thorium in surface sediments in the coastal waters of the Beibu Gulf,reveal the concentrations and spatial distribution characteristics of uranium and thorium in this area,and evaluate the marine radioactive environment quality and effects.The results showed that the average content of uranium and thorium in seawater was 2.66 μg/L and 0.255 μg/L,respectively.The average activity concentrations of uranium-238 (238U) and thorium-232 (232Th) in surface sediments were 41.6 Bq/kg and 39.7 Bq/kg,respectively.The content of uranium and thorium in seawater was comparable to that in the South China Sea,and the activity concentrations of uranium and thorium in surface sediments were comparable to those in the adjacent waters of the Bailong Peninsula,both at baseline levels.Uranium and thorium in seawater and surface sediments in the coastal waters of the Beibu Gulf basically had no effect on marine organisms.Uranium posed a high potential risk to benthic organisms,while thorium mainly acted on plankton and nekton through suspended particles in water and the food chain.The findings offer key basic data for the study of the radioactivity level of the marine environment in the coastal waters of the Beibu Gulf and provide data support and a scientific basis for the supervision of the marine radiative environment safety in the Beibu Gulf.
