Abstract:
Soil nematodes are key bioindicators of rhizosphere ecosystems, and changes in the abundance and community structure of soil nematodes provide direct insights into plant—soil interactions. In this study, the aboveground herbivorous insect Gadirtha fusca and the belowground parasitic nematode Meloidogyne incongnita on Triadica sebifera were used as research objects.Four different biological interaction treatments were set up to explore the effects of sequential feeding by aboveground and belowground herbivorous organisms on the soil nematode community in the plant rhizosphere. The results showed that the sequential feeding of the aboveground and belowground herbivores significantly changed the community structure and dominant species of soil nematodes. The soil nematodes in the treatment of sequential feeding by G.fusca followed by M.incognita (ABseq) were mainly of the c-p4 group, and their abundance (N),maturity index (MI),and trophic diversity index (TD) were significantly higher than those in the no-feeding treatment (CK).The soil nematodes in the treatments of simultaneous feeding by both herbivores (ABsim) and feeding by M.incognita alone (BG) had significantly lower fungivore to bacterivore (F/B) ratios and significantly higher nematode channel ratios (NCR) than CK.In addition, the ABseq treatment had significantly higher N,species richness (S),Margalef richness index (Ma),MI,F/B ratio, and TD but significantly lower Simpson's dominance index (λ) and NCR than BG.The research results can accumulate background data for the study of plant—soil interaction relationships and provide new ideas for reducing the infection of M.incongnita.
