| Russula iepida, an ectomycorrhigal fungus, is abundant in the Castanea hystrix woodland in the Pubei region of Guangxi province in China. This edible fungus is very important to the local forest fungus industry. In this study, the morphology of this fungus was described and results of investigation on its ecology were reported, to provide information for the eventual artificial cultivation of this important mushroom. |
