Abstract: |
The square B-spline function was used as the function of displacement field.The spline element of elastic straight beam and semi-analytical spline element of thin slab were derived.Several examples about constant or variable thickness beams and slabs were computed. The results show that the square spline elements have higher accuracy,less unknowns and occupation of memory space than the common elements or strip elements. |
